My name is Greg German. I make high quality handmade guitars.
My approach to lutherie is a combination of high-tech design tools and old school attention to artistic detail. I use 3D CAD software to work and re-work my designs. The 3D models I sculpt can then be used directly to carve the wood on my ShopBot CNC machine. Using this method, I can make variations or build prototypes without having to re-tool my shop. This is a tremendous advantage when it comes to making custom designs. My current focus is on one model: the 'Magnolia', a 17" acoustic jazz archtop.
